The paleo diet: The caveman lifestyle

According to a recent article (“US 'cavemen' seek raw truth”) in the Sydney Morning Herald, some American men are following a so-called "paleo diet" or simply "the caveman lifestyle" which includes eating raw meat. The theory behind the diet is that you only eat what our ancestors ate 10,000 years ago. In other words, seasonal fruit, lean meat, fish and very little intake of processed food such as sugar, grains (including bread) or dairy products. However, such a diet is not cheap in New York City with one “caveman” saying that he spends US$70 per day on food.
